Does AAIR accept my insurance?
Allergy, Asthma & Immunology of the Rockies is in network with the following insurance
Colorado Access- CHP+
Kaiser Permanente (including Medicare and Medicaid)
Rocky Mountain Health Plans (including Medicare and Medicaid)
UMR (through RMHP, CEBT, and United Healthcare)
We do participate with the insurance companies/networks above but it is always up to the patient to
verify the participation status with their insurance company. Insurance companies are adding additional
“narrow networks” all the time and only invite certain providers who live in certain areas to participate.
Since we cannot be familiar with all the plans available you will need to verify participation status before
your visit as you are ultimately financially responsible for the visit. Most insurance companies have the
ability for you to check the status online. I recommend you print out the information your insurance
carrier gives you for proof of participation.
If you don’t participate with my insurance, can I still be a patient at AAIR?
Absolutely! We can bill any insurance but you will be considered out of network when seeking care.
Please contact your insurance company about your out of network benefits. Some insurance companies
also provide waivers to see an out of network provider if there are no other providers in the geographic
area. AAIR has made every effort to contract with the insurance companies in our area.
Do you take self-pay patients?
Yes! As a patient, you have the right to choose whether or not you want to be a self-pay patient even if
you have insurance. Please inform our desk if you want a visit to be self-pay. We offer discounts to our
self-pay patients. Self-pay patients will be asked to pay their bill on the date of service.
What do I need to bring to my visit?
Please bring a current copy of your insurance card and picture ID.
